International festival of industrial design DESIGN ACT, Moscow, Russia

On the 31st of August the international design festival DESIGN ACT began its work. This time the event lasted for several days and consisted of four parts.

Design Forum – a discussion club, lections, discussions, experience exchange, work-shops from well-known designers;
Design Exhibition – the best examples of industrial design;
Design Party – an occasion for informal communication;
Design Market – a selling exhibition of designer objects, a unique opportunity to acquire the most unexpected and exclusive objects for domestic use and pleasure, all in one place. In 2010 the DESIGN MARKET presented more that 60 Russian and more than 40 overseas participants!

The aim of the International Design Festival DESIGN ACT is to demonstrate world tendencies of the modern industrial design, to introduce the visitors with the leading designers and their manufacturers. In Tokyo and London this aim is pursued by the exhibition 100% Design in New York and Vienna – Design Week, in Milan – I Salone, in Miami – Miami Gift Show, in Moscow – DESIGN ACT, that gives all the Russian industrial design lovers a unique opportunity to see with their own eyes the world’s best accomplishments in this field. A project that does not have an analogue in Russia and in three years of its existence it gathered more than 70 000 visitors.
