Awards ceremony and exhibition 2020

The awards ceremony of the The All-Russian Competition-Biennale of Object Design «Invented and Made in Russia» took place on 27 October 2020 at the Fashion and Design Center of the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum. On the same evening, the winners' exhibition was opened.

The All-Russian Competition-Biennale of Object Design «Invented and Made in Russia» is a unique opportunity to present your work to leading industry experts and demonstrate it in the Museum. The Museum will buy the best work for its collection.

The all-Russian competition of object design is held by the All-Russian Decorative Art Museum once every two years. The project’s mission is to create an up-to-date image of Russian design that is recognized all over the world.

The competition applications were evaluated by leading experts of the design industry: an Expert Council and an International Jury. The works of the nominees and winners were presented at the exhibition at the Fashion and Design Center of the All-Russian Decprative Art Museum. Grand Prix — purchase of works for the Museum’s collection.

Contest participants have got a unique opportunity to protect their copyrights. Each submitted work were automatically protected by depositing it on the website of the competition’s strategic partner, Russian Design Council, and registered in the IPChain network.

After reviewing the applications submitted for the competition, the organizing Committee decided to establish a new special category «Out of competition. Fine Craft». The category includes works submitted in «Collectible» and «Craft design», but according to the Expert Council more appropriate to the definition of Fine Craft. These are works that are close in relevance and artistic value to art and are distinguished by high visual and aesthetic qualities.

The works of the participants in this category were also presented at the exhibition «Invented and made in Russia».
